Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) Examinations

I am thrilled to announce that the children who had taken tap exams in the Summer Term managed to receive 4 Distinctions and 1 Merit! Fantastic results.

Summer School 2017 was a huge success again this year. The children took part in lots of different dance styles, arts and crafts and games. We held a small performance on the final day which went very well.

Our first ever show at The Place Theatre in Bedford - Around the World in 80 Days. A great day for everyone involved!

Katie Wilson School of Dance pupils may like to take dance examinations and the school has 100% pass rate success. The examination structure of the ISTD is designed to cater equally for those who wish to progress to making dance their profession, either as a performer or dance teacher, and for those pursuing dance purely as a leisure activity.

Performances

At the end of term parents can watch their child's classes and every year we hold a school performance for family and friends.

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Isabelle Clynes has successfully auditioned for the ensemble of Rare Productions - The Wizard of Oz. This will take place at the Corn Exchange on 29th November and 1st December at 7pm. It would be lovely if we can organise as a school to go and support her. We are very proud! Well done Isabelle.

Our December 2019 was so much fun. We put on a Frozen workshop and the children were lucky enough to be visited by some Disney princesses who gave them a mini make-over. We also made snowflake Christmas cards and played pass the parcel before performing our Frozen routine to parents.

We also had watching week as it was the final week of the term where we raised lots of money towards equipment etc.
